The EcoBoard is a unique construction board with superior sound insulating properties. The EcoBoard is a ‘closed-loop recycling’ construction board and is one of the most sustainable boards available. It is made from 100% post-consumer waste, specifically composite cardboard, which is a difficult -to-recycle waste. As a zero waste product, any offcuts can be reprocessed into a new board. Furthermore, at the end of its life, it can be reprocessed with no loss of performance
The EcoBoard is fire-rated, sound-rated, formaldehyde-free, mould and mildew-resistant, impact-resistant, suitable as a racking board and more. It is currently being subjected to a Life Cycle Assessment, which will prove it to be the most sustainable board on the market.
The EcoBoard boasts several performance benefits, including an airborne sound reduction Rw 30dB and an impact sound reduction of ΔLw=18dB. From an installation standpoint, the EcoBoard cuts easily with power tools, has a strong mechanical fastening and is non-toxic to fitters. Despite its recycled makeup, the EcoBoard doesn't crack or chip. Depending on the requirement, the Ecoboard can replace OSB, plywood and plasterboard for a more user-friendly and sustainable solution.
